Sunflowers Pure Linen Tea Towels

I bought two of these because I wanted to make two quilted, double-sided place mats. I have two sets of four linen place mats that have lasted decades but are starting to show their age. These tea towels are lovely and ideal for place mats. (The picture would also make a great jigsaw puzzle.) I have washed them and unstitched the original edge seams and they are just waiting for me to find the time to cut the padding to size and then stitch them. Forecast wet weather this week should provide the opportunity.
