Jacquard tapestries are woven on looms purposely designed for their manufacture - so that the tapestries will maintain their shape and quality for many years. Yarns of different colours are woven to form unique designs - a process designed to imitate hand woven tapestry that was perfected by the Frenchman Joseph Marie Jacquard ± 1806. Unique looms create their own "fingerprint" - imparting differing tapestry textures and qualities. All Adorabella machine woven tapestries are of European origin.
